The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), a premier government organization dedicated to ensuring food safety across the nation, has opened online applications for over 13,200 positions. This recruitment drive includes multiple roles such as Food Safety Officer, Assistant,

Inspector, Clerk, and Helper, providing a significant employment opportunity for eligible applicants across India.

Vacancies Available:

• Food Safety Assistant – 3,120
• Food Inspector – 2,300
• Clerk – 5,444
• Helper/Peon – 2,450

Eligibility Criteria for FSSAI Hiring 2025

Food Safety Officer	Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute
Food Inspector	Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute
Food Safety Assistant	Essential: 12th Pass from a recognized board
Desirable: Basic proficiency in Hindi & English
Clerk	Essential: 12th Pass from a recognized board
Desirable: Basic proficiency in Hindi & English
Helper/Peon	Essential: 10th Pass from a recognized board
Desirable: Basic proficiency in Hindi & English

Reservation Guidelines:

• OBC (Creamy Layer) applicants are not eligible for reservation benefits. They must register under General Category (GEN).
